Another Day

Today was ok.  Got my sunday basketball in.  Also did a nice walk to the park with the kids.

Breakfast:
- Instant oatmeal, 3 packets

Lunch:
Arugala Salad + bacon
+ a few pieces of cheese
+ salami chips

Snacks:
Keebler Cookies (maybe 6?)
Hershey's kisses (maybe 10?)

Dinner:
Hamburger on bun (a pretty big burger)
Green beans

Here's my record.  A good win today (6-1).  But I'm only 5-7 overall and 27-22 points wise over 7 days.  I'm doing horrible with the snacks/desserts.

On the bright side - work ended great last week.  We're making some really important progress in our project and a lot of execs (including my boss) are happy with the work.  As part of this, we won a pretty big battle with an important naysayer.

My kid's football team won its season opener - 34-0.

We had a wine tasting party with people from our parish, which was fun, but not great for calorie counting.

So, good stuff happening overall.  Maybe this week will be better.

Day 8

Ok, I've been off for awhile.  Today was a little rough, but I guess it's good to get back to it.

I've tried to go back a few days and track my food.  It's late tonight, but I'll go back and track food - definitely for yesterday and I'll come close on other days too.

I managed to go 6-1 today.  Subway cookies, a few munchkin donuts, and popcorn as a snack killed me.

So, here it is:

Breakfast:
- Bowl of cereal, milk

Snack:
Popcorn

Lunch:
Footlong subway, rotisserie chicken, no cheese, lots of veggies, on flatbread
3 subway cookies

Snack
4 munchkin donuts

Dinner
Salmon and broccoli

...

I really need to get back on track.  I guess today was a small victory.  I played basketball for 1.5 hours.  Fitbit said it's worth 1500 calories, so that's not bad.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be better

Day 2- OK

Breakfast:
Bowl and a half of crispix + milk
Glass of OJ

Snack:
Some doritos (too much, but less than yesterday)

Lunch:
Footlong Subway on flat bread, rotisserie chicken, no cheese/mayo

Dinner:
meatloaf + mashed potatoes

So, an OK day with food, but i need to get better.  At least no sweets today.  If I can keep from eating, not eating late is also a good step.

I might get a workout in.  I just did basketball practice, which is kind of a work out, but not really.  I need to be head's down with work for a bit, so I'll have to see how fast I can move.  I'd love to get to bed early enough though so I can get my 7 hours.

I am back - again...

It's been a long time since I've been on.  Thanks to realappeal - I'm going to take another run at tracking.  There's some disconnect between what I want to achieve and how I act.  Maybe putting myself out there a little more will make a difference.

If you're reading this, I ask that you not comment, at least until I've made some progress.  I don't take any feedback on losing weight well and this is hard for me (like it is for anyone trying to lose weight).

Breakfast:

- bowl and a half of crispix w/ milk
- medium sized glass of OJ
- coffee w/ a little milk

Lunch:
- lots of green beans
- chicken kabobs (spiedee's marinade, it's awesome)

Snack:
this is the bummer, i try to do no snacks.... i had doritos and some chocolate

Dinner:
i tried to make it up with dinner - only had a little bit of pork loin

The good news is today was a basketball day - according to fitbit, it was worth 1400 calorie burn.  I also got my water quota, but feel short of the 7 hours.

So, a strong first day... can i finish the night without eating?  And can I get another good day tomorrow...

Not bad for a road trip

Yesterday was the VA-St Louis road trip.  I am notoriously bad on road trips - eating food that isn't any good and a lot of it.  This time was one of my best, although not great.

Breakfast:
McD's:  Medium Strawberry Smoothie
50% of a sausage, egg, and cheese muffin
75% of an egg, sausage, and cheese burriot

Morning snacks:
Creme De Menthe Squares (they are so good)

Lunch:
Arby's giant roast beef sandwiche + lots of arby's sause
(note: sandwich is 560 calories... each packet is 15 calories... i probably use 10 packets... overall, not a bad lunch calorie wise)

Snack:
We got taco bell for everyone else and I had a few nachos and a 1/2 a cheese quesadialla

Dinner:
Same arby's meal

Late night snack:
- roast beef (deli)
- 1 chocolate cookie

So - that's a lot of food, but... for me it's a good road trip.  I'm actually more proud of myself than not, which might seem a bit silly.

I'm thinking of giving myself christmas eve and christmas "off" when it comes to food - but i want to be sure to work out for each.

So, yeah, I lost... but it was one of my best losses yet.

The score is better than the day

The behavior stuff was good today... except eating right and working out.  No working out again.  I need to figure out how to.  Food was bad - went back to the christmas candy.  lots of creme de mente squares.

Otherwise, not too bad.

Breakfast:
Bacon, Egg, Cheese Sandwich

Lunch:
Turkey and roast beef sliders
- 4 total - i cut the bread differently, so there was very little bread this time... still used mayo though and added cheese to some

Dinner:
3/4 serving of shrimp & pasta meal --  like 750 calories

...

So food was good, not great... except the gobs of christmas cookies... and now a 16 hour drive tomorrow... might prove to be pretty bad

My first 7-0

After a string of bad days, I've rebounded and have a 7-0 --- my first perfect score!  (assuming I can avoid eating and drinking before I go to sleep)

Breakfast:

Lunch:
- deli meat "sliders" (made on small pieces of french bread)
3 roast beef - a mayo, a horseradish, and a mustard one
1 turkey - mayo

Dinner:
Panera salad
Small piece of french bread
